Ms Sylvia
Fronting the band is "Ms. Sylvia", as she is endearingly called, is the main vocalist for OCEAN 503. She‟s full of energy and can dance as
well as charm a crowd with her silky voice.
She is a native of Portland, Oregon, and well known for her contributions to Portland‟s music
scene, singing with live acts such as Ken Berry‟s Time Sound. This evolving band has been well known in the Portland area since the 60‟s.
Ms. Sylvia is a skilled writer as well and has recorded with various artists such as the as the Earthtones and Patrick Lamb. She enjoys a variety of music such as Gospel, R&B, Reggae, Blues and Jazz. Her background in these genres has given her the opportunity
to perform with international and national artists.
In January 2006 Ms. Sylvia joined OCEAN 503 fulltime after several sub gigs in 2004 and 2005. She‟s an energetic and impressive performer and her unique soulful voice captures audiences of all ages.
In 1997 he founded his current band OCEAN 503 with a continuing focus on Jazz, Blues and R&B. Me'Gale's love for and extensive understanding of music keeps the band to its charge and always moving forward full force with recognizable and memorable music.
Me'Gale‟s other musical accomplishments also include: writing lyrics and music; instructing; extensive travel throughout the North American
continent with Obo Addy, Ocean 503, and other groups; managing and booking groups; creator and manager of MR Sound Company, Portland, Oregon; sound technician. He has been using and is endorsed by "Bag End Bass Gear‟ consistently since 1994, and recently by "Moog Music‟ for the "Little Phatty Stage II‟.
